The Korean feature Hammerboy (2003) was adapted from a popular manhwa (graphic novel) by Youngman Hur. In 2112, Mangchi, a pint-sized hero who’s more enthusiastic than bright, lives in a setting that recalls Waterworld: a small colony on an island formed by two ruined skyscrapers. His grandfather forges the hammers Mangchi loves to play with, and instructs him in the “Great Echo,” a way of focusing all the body’s energy into a yell that serves as a weapon. When Princess Poplar crash lands near the colony, Mangchi has to help her against the power-hungry minister Moonk, who’s trying to seize the throne.
The filmmakers cram far too much story into 75 minutes, leaving the characters underdeveloped and big chunks of the plot unresolved and unexplained. Like other recent Korean features, Hammerboy borrows heavily from Japanese animation, especially the films of Hayao Miyazaki. Director Taekun An lifts elements from Castle in the Sky, Porco Rosso, and Kiki’s Delivery Service, but it’s all pastiche. Hammerboy is no deeper than an episode of Digimon. Empire of the Ants was an incredible movie! Both Joan Collins and Robert Lansing were amazing! The great cast includes Joan Collins, Robert Lansing, John David Carson, Albert Salmi, Jacqueline Scott.
If you love watching Joan Collins or Robert Lansing, you are deffinetly going to want to watch Empire of the Ants.
Joan Collins stars in this hilarious giant bug epic. Producer-director Bert I. Gordon, the genius behind such stuff-grows-really-big films as The Amazing Colossal Man and Village of the Giants, brings us a cautionary tale of what can happen when pollution, real-estate scams, and social insects mix. Collins, an absolute portrait of the valiant trouper who keeps plugging away no matter how bad the script gets, stars as shady land developer Marilyn Fryer. Marilyn is by only a small margin the sleaziest of a band of characters so repellent it’s hard not to root for the ants (who, by the way, grow really big). A ludicrous plot and jaw-droppingly bad dialogue make Empire of the Ants ideal for late-night viewing. Watch it with your most vicious circle of friends. I really loved the movie Lost Junction. I really enjoyed watching Neve Campbell in this movie. I also think Billy Burke was great!

Summary of Lost Junction:

A Full Review of the The Boost
Wow! I really loved the movie The Boost. The movie is absolutely stunning with top-notch graphics and visuals while James Woods deliver some award-winning performances in this movie.
I also think Sean Young was great! The visuals and graphics make for some very realistic on screen special-effects but that is the beauty of the movie.When the movie wants to be funny it is funny, the same is true for when the movie needs to deliver its scary aspects.
I think James Woods and Sean Young worked wonderful in The Boost. The great supporting cast includes James Woods, Sean Young, John Kapelos, Steven Hill, Kelle Kerr.
You should see it, make no mistake this is a definite blockbuster!
